Best place in the Capital Region for auto care and repair. We have been going to Ernie's for many years and the quality and care and service we get is always exceptional. Now my adult children all bring their vehicles to Ernie's as well; when you find a great mechanic you stick with him! All you have to do is watch how many regulars and return customers he has and that speaks volumes about how his service builds customer trust and loyalty.
The prices are reasonable, the service is prompt, sometimes while you wait; always in the same morning or same day service. Most importantly, in every vehicle Ernie's take care of for our family, he takes the time to explain what is needed and when it is needed, and on the vehicles we own with dealership warranties, he always advises whether we really need the service or we do not, and he always looks for the best option for the customer, not just what is best for the dealership or the bottom line to the business, how are you going to beat that? You can't!
In addition, if you need service he doesn't provide (body work, painting, etc.) he always knows someone who can do the work that he trusts and knows well enough to recommend with full confidence. Can't beat that!
This shop is a place you can trust and depend on 100% - what a concept! Thanks to Ernie and his team for making our entire family happy, 100% satisfied, and very well cared for customers for at least the last 15 years!

Excellent service, price, and quality. They've been servicing my vehicles for as long as I can remember, and were the only shop we trusted to work on my Corvette and my wife's classic Mustang. Good, honest shops are hard to come by these days. Now that I live out of state that fact has become reality.

My Ford Ranger and Honda CRV, and my girlfriends Honda Civic, have been going to Ernies for the better part of a decade at this point. Mainly Ive dealt with Ernie (the owner) and Tom, both of who have been a pleasure to do business with. They do a great job of scheduling your appointment ahead of time, are always ready, do excellent work, and the work is always done timely, with a phone call when they have assessed the problem and then also as soon as it is done. MANY times the cost of the work or service my vehicles needed totaled well below what I expected. Their prices are more than fair, and if you think you need something done and its not the problem or you dont need it done, they will tell you that, saving you money! I'd challenge you to try to find a more honest quality mechanic shop out there, but I dont like to waste peoples time. Skip the google searches and just take your vehicle to Ernies. You wont be disappointed.

Ernie's garage their service is always on time, they take the time to explain what your car needs are and most of all the staff that works there is well mannered, respectful, and professional. This garage is the only place that works on my cars and I travel over 30 mins there even for a oil change. When you take your car in to get it fixed, the cost is reasonable, and great service.Thanks ERNIE and all your staff

I've been going to Ernie's shop for years. He's very customer service oriented. I had a lot of work done to my car recently and i can honestly say my Subaru is running great. I would recommend anyone needing some work done on their vehicle to stop by his shop and say hello he's a very respectful business owner.

Ernies quality auto is the best and most knowledgeable garage in the area. There's not a problem with a car that I have brought in that his shop could not diagnose and fix very quickly and correctly. I tell all the car owners with car problems to go to his shop to get it done correctly.

I have been going to Ernie's Quality Auto for about 4 years. I have to say at this point his garage is the ONLY garage I trust. I have dealt with a dozen other mechanics and I have felt that I have always got "the run around". Every interaction I have had with Ernie and his staff has been easy, honest and he has always been upfront. On top of that he almost always has my car finished the same day. I would never go to another mechanic in the Capital Region area. They are by far the best!

My first experience with Ernie's was when I came in with what I thought was a bad transmission. As I waited for assistance, Ernie was on the phone with a customer, delivering what I consider to be stellar customer service! My first thought was I'm in the right place! I love what I just heard! They really care about their customers here. My issue turned out to be the clutch, not the transmission. Then, when one part proved defective, they replaced it totally free - didn't even charge a penny for labor! I'm never going anywhere else!
